• Debonding of solidified splat was observed under various impact conditions. Scraping test conducted to evaluate the adhesion strength splat. explains debonding behavior Tensile residual stress reduces scraping force and prevents removal splats is a crucial issue for thermal sprayed coatings, which greatly influences performance lifetime industrial components. The purpose this study provide an in-depth understanding effects parameters as well on behaviors, related driving forces single splats. In study, behaviors molten paraffin droplets were impacted stainless steel substrates, considering substrate pre-set temperature, drop height (impact velocity), droplet temperature. It found that prone take place at lower temperatures, heights, temperatures. A method then employed measure formed results showed good accordance with in test. tests also indicated tensile complete during processes.
